Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of KidsMealToys, an independent community service for discovering kids meal toys at nearby restaurants and arranging toy swaps with neighbors. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

No affiliation with restaurants

KidsMealToys is an independent, community-run project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, or any other restaurant or toy company. All trademarks, names, and campaign names belong to their respective owners, and any references are made solely to help collectors identify products.

Community reports — no guarantees

Store reports, stock states, and notes are submitted by volunteers. We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any report. Toy selections vary by restaurant, region, and timing, and restaurants change or run out of toys without notice. We cannot guarantee that any toy is available at any store. Always confirm with the restaurant before making a special trip.

Your content

You are responsible for the reports, listings, notes, and messages you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host and display that content within the service. Do not submit content that infringes someone else's rights, and only upload or claim what you personally observed or own.

Toy swaps are between you and the other member

• KidsMealToys only introduces members who might want to trade. We are not a party to any swap, we do not inspect items, and we do not process payments or escrow of any kind.
• Meet in public, well-lit places; bring a parent or guardian if you are a minor. Your safety is your responsibility.
• "Anywhere" listings are open to collectors outside your local area, usually for trades by mail. Agree on shipping details with the other member before accepting a request — as with every swap, KidsMealToys does not process payments or shipping and does not inspect items.
• Members choose how they are contacted for swaps — email, or an Instagram or X handle. The chosen channel is shown on listings and requests, but the address or handle itself is exchanged only after both members accept a swap request. If a channel does not work for you, decline the request. Use good judgment in how and where you share contact details.
• Trades are expected to be direct toy-for-toy exchanges. Do not use the service to sell items, solicit cash, or traffic in recalled, counterfeit, or prohibited products.

Acceptable use

When using KidsMealToys, you agree not to:

• submit false, misleading, or automated store reports;
• harass, threaten, or impersonate other members;
• scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
• use the service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or remove accounts and content that violate these terms.

Accounts

Accounts are passwordless: you sign in with an email code. Keep access to your email secure — anyone who can read your codes can sign in as you. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, KidsMealToys and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on community reports, from swaps arranged through the service, or from service interruptions.

Changes

We may update or change the service and these terms. If we make significant changes to these terms, we will announce them in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
